Because seeing is believing!

One of the most appreciated aspects of the wargaming hobby is definitely the painting and, sometimes, the conversion of the miniatures. These two activities are needed to bring the miniatures to life, and giving them a definite look-and-feel. It's the painter's fantasy that make the difference between the "naked", anonymous sculpture and a masterpiece that everyone will appreciate in a showcase or on the battlefield. Look at two examples of the Karal's miniature: the top one painted by Fabrizio "Rujo" Russo and underneath, the conversion and painting by Alessio "Wolfbane" Cisbani.

So, to reward painters and players for the long hours they spend in painting and converting our miniatures, ManorHouse Miniatures will proclaim, periodically and starting from approx May 2004, an on-line painting contest: the Mindstalkers Model Award.

Soon, we'll publish an announcement of the conditions for the first contest. While you are waiting we will explain to you, briefly, how it will work. On this page we'll categorize and publish all the photographs that you will send us (subject, formats and so on will be explained within the announcement). All the Community Members will vote for each single miniature, and our Studio will evaluate them, taking in consideration the quality of painting but also originality, the conversion, the background aspect, and also keeping in mind the results of the Member's votes.
At the end of the specified period we'll proclaim the Absolute Model Award Winner. This person will receive a Certificate and a prize! The second and third places will receive the Certificate of Honour placement. Each participant will receive a notice of their placement in the final classification. This Award will also have a "live version" during the M-Match events.
