Games Workshop is a world leader as far as 3D Wagames is concerned, thanks to the well-known games of Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000, Mordheim, The Lord of the Rings, Epic 40,000 and many more.
Our collaboration with Games Workshop Italy started when we worked for the first Golden Demon and Italian Grand Tournament (December 2002). ManorHouse Workshop was commissioned two important works: to build the setting where to present Khemri's new army for Warhammer, as a premiere in Italy, and to manufacture all the modular components of the setting for the tables where the Grand Tournament would be played.
To display the new army (180x120cm) we used the kits from our "Ancient Egypt" series that were exactly on the subject and readily available in the correct scale for 25 to 40 mm models. The display was awarded a great success and it suitably emphasized the fine quality of the new GW models. The photographs were also published on the official GW magazine "White Dwarf".
For the playing tables we manufactured dozens of small movable bases, which were simple to move after each match, several more imposing elements of the setting to set the right surroundings for the tables and lastly the modular 40x40 panels as a base for the tables. For this purpose we used the kits from the "Middle Ages" series, which we painted expressly to make them look suitable for contemporary or futuristic gothic buildings.
On the right you have two galleries about the display for Khemri and the elements of the setting for the Grand Tournament. By clicking on the images you can view the complete galleries. |

Italeri is one of the historic Italian brandnames in the static modelling business. It recently entered the wargames sector with the game "Alzo Zero - Operation Overlord" in 1:72 scale. Massimo Torriani conceived it and set it during the Second World War.
In 2004 ManorHouse Workshop built the settings for the presentation of this game during tradeshows and on which most of the pictures you find in the playing manuals were taken. We also built some movable elements of the setting (bunkers and houses).
By clicking on the image on the right you can enter the photo gallery where you'll see some photos concerning this project.
